Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data GharPadh collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who we are

Gharpadh Home Tuition Services ("GharPadh", "we") arranges one-on-one home and online tutors for students in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Our office is at 560/25, Sunita Bhawan, Opposite Mayani Hospital, Asha Ganj Road, Asha Ganj, Ajmer, Rajasthan 305001. For this policy, GharPadh is the "Data Fiduciary" under the DPDP Act.

2. What we collect

  • Parents: the parent's name, WhatsApp number, the student's class and subjects, your area or address in Ajmer, and your tutor preference, when you fill our form, call us or message us on WhatsApp.
  • Tutors: your name, phone number, email, gender, address and area, qualification, experience, the classes, subjects and boards you teach, when you are free, who referred you, a photo of yourself, and the identity, address and qualification documents you send us for verification.
  • Tutor lead alerts: if you turn on notifications on our tutor leads page, a notification ID from our notification provider and the areas you chose.
  • Website use: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected by analytics tools. We do not collect payment card details on this website.

3. Why we use it

We use your details only for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data and we do not send promotional spam.

  • To understand your need, call or WhatsApp you, and suggest suitable tutors.
  • To arrange the demo and regular classes, and to share fee and schedule details.
  • To verify tutors, make an internal tutor profile (ID card) with their photo, share suitable tuition requirements with them, and show a tutor's photo to a parent once their demo is fixed.
  • To send lead alerts to tutors who asked for them.
  • To improve our website and services, and to meet legal requirements.

4. Your consent

When you tick the consent box and submit our form, you agree that we may use your details as described here. The parent form must be filled by a parent or legal guardian, or by a student who is 18 or older, and the tutor form only by tutors who are 18 or older. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us; we will then stop using your details, except where the law requires us to keep them.

5. Who we share it with

  • Tutors: we share the student's class, subjects, fee budget and address without the house number with registered tutors, on a page locked with a Tutor Code, so they can apply. Your phone number and full address are shared only with the tutor arranged for your child.
  • Parents: when we suggest a tutor, we share a short profile: the tutor's name, qualification, experience, subjects, classes and area. Once a demo class is fixed, we also share the tutor's photo with that parent. A tutor's phone number, address and documents stay with the GharPadh team.
  • Service providers who help us run GharPadh, only for that purpose: Google (Google Sheets, Google Drive and Gmail, where enquiries, tutor photos and records are stored and alerts are sent), Cloudflare (website hosting), OneSignal (tutor notifications) and Google Analytics (website statistics).
  • The police, with the tutor's details, when a parent asks us to arrange police verification of that tutor.
  • Government or law enforcement authorities, when the law requires it.

6. Children's data

We collect students' details only through their parent or guardian, and only what is needed to arrange tuition. We do not track children or show them targeted advertising.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and tutor records for as long as they are needed to provide our service and handle any follow-up, and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

8. How we protect it

Your details are stored in access-controlled Google accounts used only by the GharPadh team. Our tutor leads page is locked with a Tutor Code and never shows parent names or phone numbers. Tutor photos are kept in a private Google Drive folder that only our team can open, and are shown only to a parent whose demo with that tutor is fixed. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will inform you and the authorities of a personal data breach as the law requires.

9. Your rights

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update your details.
  • Ask us to delete your details, or withdraw your consent.
  • Raise a complaint with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
